- Contractors & trades only
Sound familiar?
Most contractors don't have a work problem. They have a paperwork problem.
Tax-time surprises
You find out what you owe in April, when it’s too late to do anything about it. A good accountant tells you in October.
Books that are months behind
Receipts in the truck, invoices in your inbox, and no real idea which jobs actually made money.
Payroll & sub headaches
Crew payments, withholdings, 1099s for subs — one missed filing and you’re paying penalties instead of profit.
The punch list

The guy behind the books
Meet Chris Fallon, EA
“I started Foundations because I got tired of watching big firms treat contractors like just another file, then ship the actual work overseas. You deserve a real person who picks up the phone and knows what a draw schedule is.”
Chris is a licensed IRS Enrolled Agent, which means we can represent you directly before the IRS. The work stays here in the U.S., never offshored. We use good software to move fast, but the thinking is human. Born and raised in South Florida, where the firm is based.

Built for your industry
Construction accounting, done by someone who gets it
Your business doesn’t run like a regular company, so your books shouldn’t either. Here’s what I stay on top of for contractors and the trades:
- Job costing — know which projects actually make money
- Paying subs the right way (and 1099s without the panic)
- Cash flow between draws and seasonal slowdowns
- Equipment, vehicles, and what you can actually write off

Questions contractors actually ask
My books are a mess and months behind. Can you fix that?
Yep — that’s most new clients, honestly. We do a catch-up and clean-up first, then keep everything current monthly so you never fall behind again.
Do I need to send 1099s to my subs?
If you paid a sub more than the IRS threshold (currently $2,000) during the year and they’re not incorporated, almost certainly yes. We can track it all year, so January isn’t a fire drill.
What's an Enrolled Agent, and why does it matter?
An EA is licensed directly by the IRS — the highest credential they award. An EA can represent you before the IRS on audits, notices, and collections. Not every bookkeeper can say that.
No pressure, no jargon
